A restricted fire zone has been declared across much of Northwestern Ontario.
All open burning, including campfires is banned.
MNR Information Officer Debbie McLean says the order is in place because the forecast is calling for no significant rainfall and isolated thundershowers.
Crews have been called out to a number of fires in recent days, some lightning caused, others human error.
The zone extends south of the CN Rail Line, West to Red Lake and includes most of the Dryden District and the Southern portion of Red Lake.
It also includes all of Kenora and Fort Frances.
The MNR Says there have been more than 600 fires in the Northwest Region this season.
The largest blaze currently burning is north of Kenora.
A forest fire near Minaki has forced the evacuation of more cottagers in the Catherine Lake area.
Now 150 people have been told to leave since the blaze started Sunday.
The fire has also destoryed several cottages and is not under control.
