The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is adjusting the Restricted Fire Zone.
The outdoor fire ban remains in place in the Dryden, Ignace, Kenora, Fort Frances, Atikokan and Rainy River regions.
Portable gas stoves may still be used but must be handled with extreme care.
There is no more fire ban in the Red Lake, Ear Falls, Sioux Lookout and Thunder Bay areas.
Information Officer Chris Marchand says those communities have enjoyed a lot of rain so the fire hazard has gone down.
There are 83 active blazes across the northwest region.
