The Nishnawbe-Aski First Nation has been brought up to speed on a NDP Private Members Bill that could make them richer.
The proposed Legislation is going through Public Consultations and would give Natives the right to earn money from resource-based activities on their lands.
New Democrat MPP Gilles Bisson says the Province has failed to live up to its end of a 100-year-old Treaty with NAN and he says Regional Chiefs seem to be receptive to the new Bill.
Bisson is confident it will become law early next spring.
