RFZ to be lifted

The Restricted Fire Zone in our region will be lifted as of this evening.
Rain & damp conditions over the Victoria Day weekend have allowed the Ministry of Natural Resources to take the ban on open burning off BUT officials want people to act responsibly in the bush & not let fires get out of hand.
Despite the RFZ being in effect for the last couple of weeks, there were some charges laid over the weekend for people who didn’t seem to think the ban applied to them.
