A large cash inflow into the Investments in Forest Industry Transformation program.
Kenora MP Greg Rickford announced a new $90-million will go to the program focused on innovation in forestry.
He says a large focus will be on Northern Ontario companies, noting there are endless opportunities in using the by-products coming from pulp production.
With the announcement Rickford opened up a call for proposals for interested companies to apply.
Proposals will be accepted through the end of October.
