Rickford Commits To Helping With HWY Concerns

The four laning of the Trans-Canada Highway between Kenora and the Manitoba boundary remains an elusive reality.
Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association President Dave Canfield is even musing about changing the route because of the delays.
Kenora MP Greg Rickford says he understands Canfield’s frustration and says it’s in the Ontario government’s court for now.
Rickford says he has made a commitment to reach out to the Ontario’s new Minister of Transportation, to understand what steps can be taken to move the project forward.
There have been concerns about the proposed highway from the Shoal Lake First Nation.
