The 2015 Little Bands Hockey Tournament is in the books and the event is being hailed a major success.
51-teams from northern First Nations competed in the week long hockey tournament.

Kenora MP Greg Rickford says it was a great opportunity to watch some of the hidden gems in the remote north.
Rickford says the kids bring plenty of enthusiasm to the ice and stresses there’s nothing but good things on the horizon.
He says coaches and scouts need to take a serious look at First Nations players in remote communities.
The next major event is next month with the Northern Bands Tournament.
