RIDE Checks Continue For Sioux Lookout OPP

Ontario Provincial Police in Sioux Lookout have been out in full force making sure drivers are following the laws of the road.

Police say from Friday to Sunday they conducted 21 RIDE checks and as a result 4 people have been charged with various offences.

OPP say a 26 year old man from Sioux Lookout was charged with operating a motor vehicle over the legal limit with only a G1 license and without an accompanied driver.

Police say another charge was a 19 year old man from Sioux Lookout who refused to provide a breath sample.

OPP add that a 31 year old woman from Wawakapewin was charged with driving with a suspended license, failing to have a toddler in a car seat and failing to show proof of insurance.

Finally a 50 year old man from Zealand Township was charged with driving without a license.

Police remind the public to call 911 if you see a suspected impaired driver.
