The 2009 edition of the Alzheimer’s Society of Kenora/Rainy River “Ride for Memories” will go down as the most successful to date.
Organizers have confirmed that 137 riders raised over $34,600 with money contnuing to come in. It is believed that’s the larges amount raised in the seven years the event has been staged.
Riders from Rainy-River to Sioux Lookout congregated on Dryden last Saturday for lunch, then toured north to Red Lake for a steak dinner, auction and more.
