Riley Barkman Surpasses $100,000 Goal

A young First Nations man has reached his $100,000 goal in his fundraising walk for a CT Scan Unit at the Meno-Ya-Win Health Centre.
20-year-old Riley Barkman left Sachigo Lake last week and is scheduled to arrive in Sioux Lookout early next week.
Sachigo Lake Chief Titus Tait says the walk was inspired by elder Elaine Grace Teskey.
Teskey was diagnosed with cancer and wanted a CT Scan Unit closer to home.
Sachigo Lake Chief Titus Tait says the entire community is proud of Barkman and his team and stresses it shows by working together we can all accomplish something special.
To make a donation call the Sachigo Lake Band office at 595-2527 or go to http://sachigoctscannerwalk.myknet.org.
