Risk Of Ebola Low In Canada According To Health Unit

The Northwestern Health Unit says there is no reason to panic about the recent Ebola outbreak.
Manager of Infectious Diseases Donna Stanley says the risk is extremely low in Canada.
Stanley says unlike the common cold or chicken pox, an Ebola patient needs to show symptoms and exchange bodily fluids to transfer the disease.
She adds the outbreak has occurred in areas where protective measures like gloves, gowns, and masks aren’t being used.
Stanley recommends regular steps to keep you safe like washing your hands.
