There will be some white knuckle driving the next couple of days.
CKDR Meterologist Bill Laidlaw says we are expecting 2-5 centimetres of snow, ice pellets and possible freezing rain around midnight tonight, with another 5 to 10-centimetres of fresh snow falling on top of the slippery stuff on Wednesday morning.
Laidlaw promises the situation will improve.
He says we will have four to five days of season temperatures, with highs in the small minus digits and lows hovering around minus ten.
Police are warning motorists to take their time and be extra careful following a rash of weather related collisions in recent days.
In most cases speed and not adjusting to changing conditions were contributing factors.
