Road Conditions

Local Police forces and the Ministry of Transportation are asking motorists to take it easy on area roads.
Poor conditions are reported throughout Sunset Country.
Side roads in Dryden and Sioux Lookout are very icy, and main highways are snow covered with slushy conditions.
White-out conditions are also being reported on Highway 72 to Sioux Lookout and on Highway 17 near the Kenora by-pass.
Poor visibility is also reported from Ignace all the way to Thunder Bay.
Sioux Lookout, Dryden, and Kenora O-P-P detachments have responded to several minor accidents, and police in Fort Frances are dealing with several minor accidents caused by freezing rain.
