The Provincial Government has announced more road upgrades for Northwestern Ontario.
A number of reconstruction projects are planned for Highway 17 between Kenora and Thunder Bay, but also other roads such as Highway 105, Highway
502 and Highway 71.
Plans are also in the works to replace the Chunkuni Bridge north of Ear Falls, reconstructing Highway 11 west of Atikokan and resurfacing 18.5 kilometers of Highway 17 west of Vermilion Bay.
The Province is also replacing the Moose Creek, Buller Creek and Wabigoon River Bridges, west of Dryden.
Minister of Northern Development Michael Gravelle says the work will create nearly 5,000 jobs across Northern Ontario with $648-million in road and highway projects.
