Road Wins for Dogs and Flyers

It was a good night for the visitors in the SIJHL as the Dryden Ice Dogs scored a 6-5 win over the K&A Wolverines and the Sioux Lookout Flyers stunned the Fort William North Stars 3-2 in a shoot-out Friday night. At the Tounrmanent Centre the Ice Dogs held on to win after firing in 3 goals in 53 seconds while fighting off Wolverine’s comebacks all game. Six different Dogs scored including Henry Vadnais, Connor Foster, Justin Lightfoot, Brendan Church, BJ McLellan and Kyle Heck with the winner. Josh Baker made 26 saves for the win. Meanwhile the Sioux Lookout Flyers scored the shoootout victory over the league leaders. Alex Beaulne and Darnell Ferland scored in the third then Galen Matyjanka and Adam Wensley scored in the shootout while Peter Emery stopped both shooters he faced. The 4 teams will meet again Saturday nightin Thunder Bay
