Robert Bruyere is saying he would like to become the first aboriginal Councillor in Dryden.
Bruyere worked in Sioux Lookout for 21-years and represented 25-First Nations communities and 6-native organizations.
He says he managed budgets between $5 to $15-million a year.
Bruyere says Council should be paying full attention to economic opportunities as well as pursue mining projects in the area.
Bruyere adds the energy sector also provides opportunities.
He is also promising to push for a referendum anytime Council decides to spend over $1-million of taxpayer money.
Bruyere says Council should be working closer together as well as work more cooperatively with the Mayor and City employees.
