Romaine Lettuce Recalled

The Public Health Agency is still grappling with an E. coli outbreak linked to the consumption of romaine lettuce.

There’s a warning on the Public Health Agency’s website advising consumers in Ontario and Eastern Canada to avoid eating romaine lettuce.

The E. coli outbreak has been connected to one death and 40 illnesses from Ontario through Newfoundland and Labrador.

Grocery stores including Safeway have pulled romaine lettuce off their shelves. (Staff Photo)
