Rotary And Native Friendship Centre Share Common Goals

The Dryden Native Friendship Centre continues to promote its growth and programming.

Members of the Dryden Rotary Club were invited to the revamped building on Wednesday for a tour and update on current initiatives.

Executive Director Cheryl Edwards says it’s important for Rotary to see what they are doing as she feels both organizations have a similar vision and goals.

She says that’s trying to integrate the populations and have that respect and learning from each other.

Edwards says they are now offering several youth and adult programs, as well as health and out-reach programs.

She notes all include a cultural component, with cultural workers.

Edwards also mentions their newly renovated upstairs has many additions including a youth lounge, Internet cafe as well as many cultural components for the younger generation.
