Fort Frances Mayor Dan Onichuk has a new hat.
Saturday, Onichuk was elected president of the Rainy River District Municipal Association at their annual meeting Saturday.
Onichuck defeated current president Gary Gamsby and Emily Watson in a vote that was initially tied.
A second vote was held with just one rep from each municipality voting when Onichuk won.
Louie Collier was elected vice-president.
