RRDSB and secondary teachers reach contract

It comes as no surprise but the Rainy River District School Board has reached a tentative contract agreement with secondary teachers.

The 4-year deal, retroactive to last September, addresses improved salary and working conditions for about 100 teachers.

A framework for the settlement had already been reached at the provincial level last month.

Secondary teachers will review the contract next week and vote on May 27th while the school board is expected to ratify the deal June 7th.
