
It is with the saddest of hearts that we the family announce the passing of Ruby Marie Jalbert. Ruby passed away suddenly in Princeton, British Colombia on August 8, 2002 at the age of 37. Ruby was born on August 7, 1965 in Newfoundland. She worked in the Hotel/Motel Services industry. Ruby loved camping, fishing, and the tranquility of nature. She will be remembered for her love of life and laughter. Ruby is survived by her husband and best friend Tim, daughters Samantha and McKenzie, and stepson Brett; father Francis Hancock of South Brook NFLD, mother Catherine Hancock of Ignace; sisters Lucinda (Ralph) Hancock of Kakabecca, Lavina (Dave) Hancock of Ignace, Frankie (Paul) Hancock of Winnipeg, MAN; brothers Ken (Norma) Hancock of Roberts Arm, NFLD, Winston Hancock of Winnipeg, MAN, Nelson (Jana) Hancock of Kingston, ON. Also surviving Ruby are her in-laws Gilles and Donna Jalbert of Ignace and sisters-in-law Karen (Robert) Howson of Thunder Bay, and Debra (Norm) Jalbert of Ignace, Jennifer (Lawrence) Roy; brothers-in-law Dan (Solange) Howson of Princeton BC, and Calvin Jalbert of Kenora. Many numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive. Visitation for the late Ruby Marie Hancock will take place on Thursday, August 15, 2002 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. with funeral services to follow at 1:00 at the Ignace Gospel Church with Pastor Derek Anderson officiating. Cremation to follow and interment of ashes to be held at a later date. If friends so desire, donations may be made to The Ignace Gospel Church through the Dryden Community Funeral Home, 249 Grand Trunk Ave., Dryden, ON P8N 2X3.
