It was a sun filled morning Sunday as the Dryden Centennial Running Club hosted the ‘Run for the Moose’ event.
The event featured racers from across Northwestern Ontario as well as runners from Southern Ontario, Alberta and even France.
It was a Dryden sweep in the 5-kilometre runs.
Antonella Shapland was the Female champion with a time of 24:02.
Karl Thompson was the Men’s Champ with a time of 29:05.
Dryden racers finished first in the 10-kilometre event.
Charlie Ryan and Nicole Valiquette were crowned champions.
Innis Hooke of Quibell won the 10-mile female race with a time of 1:21:11.
Calgary’s Mark Whiteside crossed the finish line first in the Men’s event.
His final time was 1:11:25.
Chester Draper was the 10-mile wheelchair champion.
