One local MP went across the border to talk about forestry, agriculture, NAFTA and more.
Thunder Bay-Rainy River MP Don Rusnak explains his week-long trip to Washington D.C. featured meetings with the representative for the Minnesota district bordering his riding.
“Congressman Rick Nolan we discussed NAFTA, some trade issues in terms of bringing cattle and grain across the border at Baudette. We’re going to follow up with him later this week.”
The meetings also included talks about relationships between Indigenous groups in the U.S. and in Canada.
