Honouring those who took part in the Shale gas protests in Rexton, New Brunswick.
Eagle Lake First Nation’s Maegan Gardner says they are holding a ceremony tonight in the community.
A sacred fire will start burning at 6 o’clock at 1220 Ojibway Drive, and will go all night.
Gardner tells CKDR News that the Idle No More Movement is calling for sacred fires across the country, as a way to show that people and First Nations want their environment and drinking water protected.
