Safe Drinking Water in Machin

Relief in Machin as construction of the $6.9-million Water
Treatment Plant is finally complete.
The facility is now fully operational and a boil water advisory has
been lifted.
Mayor Barbara Beernaerts says it’s been a long road to safe drinking
water.
A boil notice was put in place back in June 2000.
Beernaerts says it was amazing to watch the 2-year growth of the
facility from a hole in the ground to a state-of-the art plant.
