Changes are coming to elementary schools across the Keewatin-Patricia School District.
Visitors will be required to buzz in starting on December 2nd.
The video intercom systems allows school officials in the main office to see who is at the front door.
They will be also be able to communicate with the visitor.
Some schools have already been using the video intercom system this year.
The initiative is being funded by the Ministry of Education.
The Public School Board says the move will improve the safety of students and staff.
