Premier Dalton McGuinty says the tragedy in Elliot Lake has left the province to review its emergency procedures.
In a small city like Dryden, the nearest major support is in Manitoba.
Acting Fire Chief of the Dryden Fire Service Ken Kurz says it will be a wakeup call for emergency crews.
“We’re just patiently trying to get as much information as we can on it from the community emergency planning part and coordinating the services. We’ll be talking about it once we hear what the lessons were or the challenges.”
