Sameula (Eula) McArthur

Born Sameula Roszalia Burke Nunn on April 4, 1917 in Wheatland, Manitoba, Eula passed away quietly in her sleep with her family at her side in Princess Court on Friday, December 7th at the age of 90 years. Loving wife to Gordon, mother to Norbert (Mae), Brian (Lorraine) and Dan (Cindy), grandmother to Gerry, Darren, Corrie Lynn, Stirling, Courtney and Candice, and great-grandmother to Willy, Cameron, Kevin, Chelsea and Trinity. Eula was predeceased by her parents; husband Gordon, son Brian, and her only sister Ailene. Mom’s life was her family, her home, and her church. We will always remember her for her generous sharing, caring and giving; and especially for the many family gatherings she joyfully hosted in providing the best imaginable feasts lovingly created for us with great care and patience. Funeral Mass to celebrate the life of Eula McArthur will be held Tuesday, December 11th at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Luigi Filippini officiating. Cremation will follow and interment of ashes will take place in the Dryden Cemetery at a later date.
