Dryden’s Sarah Carter returns to Northwestern Ontario Saturday to compete in the K-Town Throwdown Amateur Muay Thai fight.
Carter picked up her fighting skills in England and now trains out of a gym in Winnipeg.
The 27-year-old will take on 37-year-old Sarah Bishop of Minneapolis.
Carter says she’s excited to return home to fight in front of friends and family.
Carter says her opponent has the experience advantage but notes she is planning on coming out aggressive and mobile.
She adds the key is staying confident and focused.
The event starts at 6 o’clock at the Golden Eagle Charitable Casino in Kenora.
