Sarsfield Asking for More Money

The Northwestern Health Unit will roll out a new series of Chicken Pox and Meningitis shots next year and the Flu vaccine in the coming weeks.
However, the Region’s Chief Medical Officer of Health says they are in desperate need of Provincial funding.
Dr. Pete Sarsfield says the Government keeps adding programs and promising money but they haven’t seen the corresponding money.
Sarsfield says as a result they have to rob from other programs to cover the costs.
The Health Unit has $8.5 million to spend on all of its programs.
However, Sarsfield notes they are still not meeting all of the mandated ones.
