Over 600 farmers from the Kenora, Rainy River, Thunder
Bay, and Algoma Districts have been hit hard by drought
like conditions this past summer.
The lack of rain has decimated the hay crop, making it
difficult for farmers to feed their cattle.
Thunder Bay Rainy River MP Ken Boschkoff is urging both
the Federal and Provincial Ministers of Agriculture to
pony up funding for the north.

Boschkoff has spoken to both Leona Dombrowski and Chuck
Strahl, and says they’re meetings were positive and should
bring some needed funding relief.
