The Grandparent scam is back in the Dryden area.
In the typical scenario, a grandparent receives a call from a con-artist claiming to be a grandchild.
Police say the caller goes on to say that they are in some kind of trouble and need money right away.
Police say a recent call to a local resident indicated that the caller was requesting bail money as he was charged with impaired driving.
Fortunately, the targeted victim wasn’t fooled.
