Local residents are being asked to be very vigilant when selling items on-line.
A Dryden woman was contacted by a female by the name of Toes Milla who was interested in purchasing an item she had for sale.
Police say the complainant received a $1,500 cashier’s cheque for the $150 item, with instructions to keep an additional $50 for her trouble.
The rest of the money was asked to be returned in cash through Western Union.
The woman quickly learned that the cheque was from a bank that had closed several years ago.
