The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board is getting 75 thousand dollars from the provincial government to subsidize the use of schools by community groups in the Kenora District. Superintendant of Business, Dean Carrie
says the funding will help the board pay for custodial service during weekends and weeknights when groups rent
out gymnasiums, classrooms and libraries. The funding is part of a provincial government initiative to make schools
more available to non-profit groups.
