The President of the Ontario Public School Boards Association is on a fact-finding tour of Northwestern Ontario.
Rick Johnson says one of the biggest challenges facing School Boards this fall is trying to negotiate new contracts with both Elementary and Secondary teachers.
Johnson adds that issues important to Trustees and Students in Northwestern Ontario are also concerns in Southern Ontario, including smaller class sizes and funding for special education.
The OPSBA is giving the McGuinty Government good marks for its first year in office.
