The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board says it wants to review its applied English courses.
Results are out from this years Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test, with just 69% of grade 10 students passing the exam.
That’s down 3% over last year.
Dryden and Red Lake both had a 71% success rate. (Down 11% and 8% respectively)
Queen Elizabeth saw a dramatic increase in its success rate, up 11% to 64%.
Director of Education Jack McMaster says while 94% of students in the academic stream completed the test, just 42% in the applied stream finished the exam.
