Contract talks between the union representing local elementary teachers and the Rainy River District School Board are to resume next week.
Education Director Jack McMaster says even though talks have stalled at the Provincial level, there is nothing stopping the local board from trying to reach a deal.
McMaster says part of those talks will also include monetary issues.
He adds a contract for area high school teachers is expected to be finalized in the near future.
