School Board Selected to Offer 2 JK and SK Classes

The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board has started the process of deciding where to extend all-day junior and senior kindergarten classes
next year.
The public school board will be able to offer only 2-classes starting next Fall.
Superintendent of Business Dean Carrie says its going to take some work to find locations that fit the Ministry of Education criteria.
Carrie says under the government regulations, the schools will have to be able to accommodate at least 26 students, which will limit the number of locations they can use next year.
The Board will get an extra $200,000 in its budget to offer the kindergarten classes.
