A living document is in place to help students in the Keewatin-Patricia School District succeed.
The Board has approved a new 3-point strategic plan for 2011-2012.
Director of Education Jack McMaster says the plan focuses on Independent and critical thinking and improved student achievement.
McMaster adds the Board will use intervention strategies to help at-risk students and teachers will clearly establish expectations.
The Board says its hoping to see student achievement increase 7% at the Elementary level and 5% at the Secondary level.
McMaster says they want to engage students in the classroom and embed aboriginal content in the curriculum.
McMaster adds a plan is in place to improve attendance records.
