School Board Test Results

The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board is pleased with the
results from the latest Provincial tests.
Grade 3-students within the Board are edging closer to the Ontario
average in reading and writing, with students 2% and 7% below respectively.
Superintendent of Education Wendy Wiedenhoft says 70% of Grade
3 students are achieving at a high level in math.
Wiedenhoft adds that’s only 2-percent below the Provincial average.
In Grade 6, the Board saw a decrease in the percentage of students
achieving at the Provincial standard of reading and writing.
51% of the Board’s Grade 6-students are achieving a high level
in reading, while 49% are at the same mark in writing.
The Board is exceeding the Provicial average by 5% in Grade
9-academic math.
