School Boards Unsure About Kindergarten Plan

Local School Boards should know some time early in the new year if they will be able to move ahead with all-day kindergarten programs next Fall.
The Provincial Government announced that the first phase will include about 35,000 kids next year.
Northern Development and Mines Minister Michael Gravelle says the Government, Municipalities and School Board’s will work together to determine which school can facilitate the program right away.
The all-day kindergarten program is expected to cost the Province about $1.5-billion by the time its fully implemented by the 2015/2016 school year.
