School Closing

Declining enrolment’s have forced the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board to close its second school in six months.
Trustees agreed to shut down Hudson school after the student population dropped to just 22 kids.
Superintendant of Business Dean Carrie says the school will now be declared surplus to the board’s needs.

Carrie says the opening of a new school in nearby Frenchman’s Head has drastically reduced the student population at Hudson.

The students will be bussed to Sioux Mountain School in Sioux Lookout starting in the fall.
