School Report Card

The Fraser Institute has released a report card on Ontario’s Elementary Schools examining academic performance.
Riverview in Dryden tops the list in our listening area with a 6.8 rating out of 10, followed by St. Josephs Catholic at 6.1.
Peter Cowley authored the report and calls it a good evaluation tool for both educators and parents as it allows them to find out how they rank against others in Ontario.
According to the figures only Riverview, St. Josephs and Sacred Heart in Sioux Lookout finished above average.
Sioux Mountain and Ignace public were ranked below a 3 rating according to the right wing think tank.

St. Patrick’s-Atikokan 5.4/10

North Star-Atikokan 3.0/10
Ignace Public-Ignace 2.6/10
Sioux Mountain-Sioux Lookout 2.4/10
