Schools Taking Part In Cancer Walks

Area youth are getting involved in the fight against cancer.
A Terry Fox and Relay for Life Run is being held at New Prospect School today.
The event starts at 1:20.
A Relay for Life walk will take place after opening ceremonies with local survivours.
The event concludes with a Terry Fox Staff Extreme Challenge.
Pickle Lake is also hosting a Terry Fox Run at noon at Crolancia Public School.
The run, walk and bike ride starts at 1:00.
Over the past 10-years the Pickle Lake Run has raised over $40,000 for cancer research.
Lillian Berg School in Vermilion Bay is also taking part in fundraising activities.
Students and staff will walk around the community at 11:30 this morning.
Sutdents and staff have been raising money and voting for staff to do various stunts which will take place in the gym and outside around 12:30.
All of the walks are open to the public.
