Some buildings on the 200 block of Scott Street in Fort Frances were a little more fragrant than usual this morning, and not in a good way.
Superintendant of Transportation for the Town of Fort Frances Milt Strachan says they are out and investigating what may be the cause of the foul odor.
Strachan says they don’t know yet if the smell is coming from the sanitary or storm sewers.
He added when they identify where the odor is coming from, they will begin the process of cleaning it up.
Strachan said they had some problems with a turpentine pump at Abitibi Consolidated yesterday, but it is not known yet if that had any effect on the situation.
