Sean Monteith Named Director Of Education

The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board has a new Director of Education.
Sean Monteith of Kenora was appointed to the position last night.
Monteith says he’s humbled and excited by the opportunity to serve students and staff.
He says his main goal is strengthening the voice of the public board.
Monteith has been a Superintendent of Education with the board since 2008 and stresses he will continue to advocate for the unique needs of children and their families in northern Ontario.
Monteith replaces Jack McMaster who is retiring at the end of the school year.
