The Chief of Medical Staff at the Lake of the Woods
District Hospital has mixed feelings on a 2.4 billion
dollar agreement with the province.
Dr. Sean Mmoore says there are some positive items in the
new contract, but some will be detrimental to health care
in Kenora and the region.

Moore adds the contract will not help recruit doctors to
the region, and believes the shortage will not be solved
for another few years.
Over 74 percent of members from the Ontario Medical
Association voted in favour of the contract with the
province.
