A former Lakehead University graduate is seeking the federal Liberal nod for Thunder Bay-Rainy River.
Vince Riccio is second to Fort William First Nation Chief Georjann Morriseau.
He says he’s going to be campaigning for FedNor to play a larger role in creating jobs for the northwest, adding it’s not just about ensuring that funding is there. Riccio says he’d like to see FedNor have the same prominence as other economic development groups across the country.
Riccio adds he feels it’s the right time to jump into the federal arena, now that the liberal party has a renewed sense of direction.
