Second Career Program in Northern Ontario

Northerns taking advantage of the McGunity Governments Employment Ontario Employment Service are having success. About 3,260 workers in Northern Ontario have participated in one of the services offered, Second Career, and have seen an impressive 74% rate of employment after less than a year of completion. The Second Career Program helps with the costs of retraining for a new career including tuition, books, and living expenses. Ralph Pilato, a developmental service worker and Second Career graduate says “Second Career is the type of opportunity that comes around once in a lifetime for some of us.”
