Great news for those involved in trying to build a new Animal Shelter in Dryden.
The Second Chance Pet Network has received confirmation it will be getting $100,000 from Pepsi Canada.
The first $50,000 from the Pepsi Refresh Grant will come in early April, with the second $50,000 arriving in August.
The group finished first in the recent on-line competition.
Second Chance officials say they are still roughly $100,000 shy of their goal in building a facility.
Spokesperson Heather Compardo says they are waiting to hear back on an offer they have made on a property.
A number of fund-raising events are on the go including the Brick-by-Brick campaign and several others are planned for the near future.
